Sealcoating is one of the most important things you can do as a homeowner.
Not only does it protect your pavement from the damages from Mother Nature. It also gives the curb appeal that your home deserves.
When you neglect to take care of your asphalt, it will become grayed out and brittle. Any cracks already present will become wider and some will turn to pot holes over time. Prices on asphalt are much higher than keeping your pavement in good shape. By repairing the cracks and protecting it with a good commercial grade sealer you can extend the life of your asphalt for years to come.
Preparation
Preparation is important in making sure the sealer will adhere to the pavement.
The entire driveway grass edge will be trimmed back so the sealer can coat the entire surface. Any rough spots will be wire brushed to remove ground in dirt and the entire surface will be blown off with a high powered blower. It is also important for all oil spots to be primed, which we do with a latex primer before applying the sealer.
Crack filling
Cracks will eventually destroy your asphalt surface. Cracks become potholes.
When water seeps into the cracks of your asphalt it will destroy your pavement.
We offer crack filling services and asphalt repair to go along with your driveway sealing. There are two types of crack filler that we use. One is commercial grade trowelable filler and the other one is hot tar. For pothole and edge repair we use a cold patch material. Studies have shown that the product we use is stronger than the asphalt surface that it is being applied to. Any repairs or cracks will be evaluated during the estimate and quoted based on quantity and size.
Sealer application
Your driveway will be sealed using our commercial grade sealcoat, by brush, using a multi-layered brush technique. The sealer that we use on your driveway is the same sealer that we use for our commercial work. We carefully trim the edges of the asphalt with sealer leaving a fully covered and neat driveway. Your driveway will be roped off to dry which is typically 24hrs unless otherwise specified by us.
